Kia ora whānau,
Following our earlier message and due to worsening weather conditions, we have now made the decision to close the centre early today.
The tide is now coming over the school road, and combined with ongoing heavy rain, conditions are becoming increasingly unsafe.
This decision has been made to ensure the safety of our tamariki, whānau, and staff.
Thank you for your understanding and prompt support.
Ngā mihi,
The TNECC Team
Kia ora whānau,
With severe weather forecasted by MetService, we would like to keep you informed and prepared.
We are currently experiencing higher-than-normal tides, with high tide expected at 10:41am. Combined with the heavy rain, this increases the likelihood of flooding in our area.
MetService will be renewing their weather warning at 10am, however due to local conditions we may need to make decisions before that update is released.
Because road access may become unsafe at short notice, we may need to make earlier decisions than usual regarding centre closure or early pick-up of tamariki.
We kindly ask that you:
Our priority is the safety of tamariki, whānau, and staff.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.
Ngā mihi,
The TNECC Team
Kia ora TNECC whānau,
Just a friendly reminder that our centre will be closed for the following upcoming public holidays: -

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We would like to let you know that we currently have some children away from the centre due to a tummy bug.
As a precaution, we kindly ask all whānau to be on the lookout for any signs or symptoms of illness in your child.
Common symptoms of a tummy bug may include: -
To help prevent the spread of illness within our centre, we respectfully ask that if your child is unwell, you please keep them at home until they are fully recovered.
As outlined in our Health Policy, children must be symptom-free for 48 hours since their last vomit or loose bowel motion before returning to the centre.
For your reference, we have attached our Wellness Guide, which provides further information on when children should stay home and when they are well enough to attend.
We truly appreciate your support and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all tamariki and staff.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to get in touch.
Ngā mihi nui,
The TNECC Team
